About
I am a visual and movement artist interested in crafting moments of confusion and wonder—where the audience is momentarily unsure if they are looking at reality or art. This moment of realization, where boundaries dissolve and the blending of realities becomes apparent, is central to my research.
My work brings concepts to life through a blend of realist painting, inspired by the harmonious compositions and techniques of the Renaissance, combined with the structure and tangibility of installations, creating experiences that challenge multiple dimensions of perception - whether visually, conceptually or experientially. I use the reflective properties of mirrors and spatial structures to create dynamic and immersive environments that often frame performances that center dance and movement explorations, where viewers are not just observers, but participants within the art itself.
With a strong background in ballet and a continued evolution into contemporary dance, I use movement and principles of kinesiology to breathe life into my installations, awakening the senses and drawing the audience into an augmented experience. My recent work, “Muhavere,” exemplifies this vision—a dance installation that merges a traditional folktale with contemporary choreography to create a conceptual, physical reality. Through this and other works, I aim to challenge perceptions, inviting viewers to step into a world where the familiar and the fantastical coexist, and new dimensions of experience unfold.
Through my art, I engage the audience in an active experience that reshapes their understanding of what is seen, felt, and believed. I am committed to pushing the boundaries of perception, allowing art and life to overlap in surprising and transformative ways.
